About the Owner

From early childhood Natalie had an innate love for dance and music. She studied piano for nearly eight years, but it was dance with its expression through movement and music that became her ultimate passion.

She began her classical ballet training at the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet in Carlisle, Pa. and was invited at the age of 12 to study at the prestigious School of American Ballet in NYC, moving permanently to New York at the age of 15. Upon graduation from the School of American Ballet and Professional Children’s School, Natalie began an illustrious professional career as a soloist and principal dancer that spanned more than 17 years with prominent dance companies including: Miami City Ballet, Concordanse (Paris), San Francisco Ballet, Zurich Ballet and Basel Ballet (Switzerland), and The Royal Ballet of Flanders (Antwerp, Belgium). She also performed regularly as a guest artist both nationally and internationally.

Kidney disease forced Natalie into an early retirement from her dance career and she returned to New York to attend Fordham University, where she graduated in 2003, summa cum laude, with a BA in Psychology. She immediately entered Fordham’s graduate psychology program in School and Counseling Psychology. While in graduate school, Natalie received a kidney transplant, donated generously by her stepfather. To cope with the stress of school and illness, Natalie returned to Pilates, which she had started many years before at the age of 11. She did her Stott Pilates certification training with Pilates on Fifth in NYC, joining Pilates South Beach in 2006.

Natalie enjoys relating to her clients on a personal level while giving challenging workouts. She believes wholeheartedly in the mind-body balance that is Pilates, and encourages her clients to find balance in their everyday lives as well. When not teaching Pilates, you will find her on her yoga mat! She completed her RYT Yoga 200 hour teacher training in 2017. Natalie is passionate about educating others about kidney disease and organ donation. She is also a certified Johnny G spinning instructor, and loves reading, cooking, working out, photography, travel and of course, the beach!
